You don't skip logging because it's hard. You skip it because you
forgot the app existed.
That is the whole design brief. Logging a meal already takes fifteen seconds —
the failure is never the typing, it's the four hours that passed without the
thought crossing your mind.
So the app keeps its own clock. Breakfast, lunch and dinner each get a window
you set once. It reminds you inside that window, and keeps reminding you, at
the escalation level you choose. When a required window closes with nothing in
it, the day is marked as a delay and the streak is gone.
Snacks never count toward the streak, and today can't break it until today's
own windows have actually passed. Being behind should be uncomfortable — being
punished for a lunch you haven't eaten yet shouldn't.
